IVC Filter Lawsuits

Many of the people that have been implanted with an IVC Filter (Some estimates say 1 in 4) have suffered serious injuried or even death as a result of the filters fracturing or migrating. This can lead to pieces of the filter perforating major organs like the kidneys, lungs, heart, or liver. These pieces often end up left in, as the risk of surgically removing them is too high. We are currently helping people that have had an IVC Filter implanted and have have been hospitalized with any of the following:

  • Device Migration
  • Device Fracture
  • Internal Bleeding
  • Organ Perforation

If you or a loved one have been injured as a result of an IVC filter. You have rights and you may be entitled to compensation. Please call us at 888-614-1914 or fill out the form above for a free case review. There are no fees for your first call and no fees whatsoever unless your case is won.

What Is An IVC Filter?

IVC stands for Inferior Vena Cava. The IVC filter is a small metal device that is impanted the inferior vena cava to prevent blood clots from travelling to the lungs (Pulmonary Embolism). The metal device has small wires built into it, which serve to break up the blood clots before they can travel to the lungs.

However, many of the IVC filters that have been implanted are either breaking (fracture), or migrating, and causing serious injuries to patients who have been implanted with them. If you've been implanted with an IVC filter and have suffered an injury, fill out our form above to see if you may qualify for compensation.
